DESCRIPTION: Tillandsia tricholepis is a small species of plant from the miniature subgenus Diaphoranthema. These are self pollinating so you will be guaranteed to have your plant produce seed at some point. These are also quick to produce offsets, quickly forming into clusters of many plants. We have a clump of tricholepis that has over 100 heads. This is one of our favorite plants to hang from wire - you can really see their personality come out when grown hanging. This is the Bolivian variety, which does not grow as long of a stem as the variety from Argentina.

SIZE: This is a very small species, these are all going to be around 2"-3" max, so we measure the sizes by the amount of heads (pups) the plant has. You can select the amount of offsets you want in the variants here.
