$3.99

DESCRIPTION: This is one of the more needle-like Air Plants that will form into a large ball if given enough time. Of all the thin leaved Tillandsia, these are the easiest to care for. They are also one of the quickest to offset and form pups. The name, "bartramii" honours William Bartram (1739 – 1823), an early Florida naturalist.

DISTRIBUTION: Bartramii can be found growing wild in some parts of the US, including Florida, South Carolina and southern Georgia. Outside of the US, these have been found in Guatemala and Mexico (Tamaulipas, Oaxaca, Guerrero, Jalisco, San Luis Potosí).

FLOWER: These produce a simple flower spike that has pink to red floral bracts with flowers 2.5 cm (1 in.) long (5-20 per plant)
