The "Shirley Temple" Plant
This variant is currently sold out
Streptophylla is one of our favorite plants over here at the Air Plant Hub. This plant is nicknamed the "Shirly Temple Plant" for a reason. It has the most dense leaf curls of any plant around. You will notice in our pictures on the site that the leaves are exhibiting a straighter curl pattern. This is because you can control how much curl the Streptophylla has. If you live in a dryer climate with lots of air flow, your Streptophylla will end up with tight curls throughout. If you are in a humid environment, your leaves will look straighter and outward from the plant. You can artificially create these environments based on the amount of water you give the Streptophylla. Some enthusiasts prefer the straighter leaf look, and some prefer curls. In the end, it is up to you!
Streptophylla can be found naturally from Southern Mexico to Honduras at elevations up to 800 meters.
